History of Math
The 5th Swamiji of the Math Tradition, Shree Anujeevottam Teerth Swamiji constructed a Mutt at Dicholi to provide shelter and moral strength for the benefit of the Saraswat families who have migrated for the purpose of preserving their culture and religion, from Bardesh, Tisvadi, Sasashti and settled at Bicholim. The Swamiji took samadhi while camping at Dicholim in 1637 A.D. and there Vrandavan in Dicholi Math. The New temple of Shree Laxmi Narayan was constructed and marble idols of the deities as also the metal idol of Shree Ramdev were installed by the 20th Swameeji of the Mutt, Shree Indirakant Teerth, in 1905 A. D. Shri Vidyadhiraj Teetha Swamiji renovated the Vrindavan and performed Chaturmas in the year 1995 and constructed a compact Kalyan Mantap bearing the name "Shree Anujeevottam Teerth Kalyan Mantap", which. was inaugurated in 1996
